The Metal Color sets contain a selection of water based metallic colours developed to faithfully reproduce different metallic finishes such as radial or linear engines, nozzles or paneling found on most aircraft of all types and periods from WWI aircraft that combine wood, metal and textile coatings to modern fighter jets
Metal Color is the innovative range of metallic colors, which uses aluminium pigments in its production. The Metal Color range offers a wide range of shades in order to imitate the metallic finish of aircraft of all types and eras. Of exceptional brightness and extraordinary power of reflection, it allows the modeler to carry out the full range of painting techniques without the need to resort to enamels and lacquers
Metal Color dries very quickly, but it is advisable to wait 12 hours after application before applying any paint masks, as it respects the smallest details present on the model and forming a homogeneous and self-leveling layer of extraordinary resistance a few hours after application. Metal Color can be tinted directly in the airbrush cup using colors from the Model Air or Game Air ranges. It can also be applied with a brush
Metal colors can be mixed with each other, use directly with an airbrush, or diluted with or diluted with Airbrush Thinner (B002X6DTHK) or Flow Improver (B00QD780G0). Compressor adjustment for these colors is recommended at 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 a 1 kg. For best airbrush maintenance we recommend using our Airbrush Cleaner (B002X6BNYQ)
Note: The brand Vallejo is currently in the process of rebranding, therefore, for a period of time, it is possible that you may receive the product with either the new packaging or the old packaging
Description
Metal color is a new range of water-based metallic colors, especially designed for airbrushing. In the development of these new and innovative metallic colors, the latest generation of aluminum pigments has been used in a specifically designed formula which results in a series of colors of exceptional resistance and adherence to plastics and metal. Metal color can be applied directly on models without the need for the use of a Primer, although in the case of fuselages and components for airplane models it is recommended to first apply a glossy black Primer to bring forth the unique and special quality of the aluminum finish.
