Larger diameter has more scope for lenses: 2 inch diameter allows to insert 2 inch eyepieces into this barlow with double magnification; the large lens diameter also means you will notice no shadowing in the image;
Fit all 2" eyepieces with the standard filter thread
Variable polarizing filters are made up of two high-grade glass individual filters; the variable darkening effect is produced by rotating the lower filter relative to the upper one; and it reduces glare without significantly altering the objects' colour for improved perception of detail and for better viewing comfort
