The ESWA-3200C6x ESD/surge protector combined the dvanced hybrid Silicon Avalanche Suppression Diodes (SASD) and Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) to provides superior lightning and surge 8 lines protection for outdoor Gigabit Ethernet networks. The unit has low line to line and line to ground capacitance to minimize distortion of high-speed signals. The design provides protection for both common and differential mode surges. In addition, the unit is compatible with 802.3af/at/bt Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices. This device supports PoE mode A and B for power. The ESWA-3200C6x isolates the cable shield from the safety ground. This minimizes the chance of a ground loop being introduced.
SASD (Silicon Avalanche Suppression Diodes): SASDs are true solid state semi-conductors, as are the components comprising the circuitry of modern electrical equipment. SASDs are intended to protect these devices against transient over voltages. SASD-based surge suppressors are not plagued with voltage limitations or thermal runaway problems. Several advantages of SASDs are rapid responding to transient over voltages, better clamping, and protection against degradation
