This durable foundry silicon carbide graphite crucible is made of 45% carbon, 23% silicon, 26% alumina and 6% silicon dioxide, with a stable chemical properties.
The silicon graphite crucible fit for all the furnaces such as coke-oven, fuel burner, electric furnace and can withstand a high temperature up to 1800℃(3272°F).
The service life of this kind of silicon graphite crucible is about 3-8 times life longer than the foundry clay crucible.
Note to let the crucible slowly heat up the first time you use it, this will help increase the service life.
Graphite carbonized crucible are ware parts and will need to be replaced after prolonged use. And placing the crucible in a dry environment after use will prolong the service life of the crucible.
