Special Features

  • Slipping off your face? No worries! -- Features 2 THIN adjustable straps for optimal performance, go above and below ears, keep the mask position more stable even if you toss & turn during the night
  • Dispersing the tension -- Alleviate pressure on your eye balls, as this is nearly always an issue with single band masks due to a band that pulls in that area, the dual straps help to keep the linear tension evenly distributed
  • Complete darkness -- Upgraded with silky soft nose flap, which blocks light from entering near the bottom of the sleeping mask. [Pro tip: The little flap by the nose it meant to be folded under]
  • Ideal for stomach sleeping, insomnia, migraine headaches and dry-eye sufferers, as the breathable, natural fibers of hypoallergenic silk allows healthy oxygen in while keeping dry air out
  • Silk does not absorb skin lotions, so it won't mess with eye creams or moisturizers while sleeping
  • Hand wash in cool water with your shampoo or neutral detergent; Machine wash on delicate setting in a laundry bag.

Description

Alaska Bear-Slide into a silky haven

Somewhere I read a convincing article about the health advantages of sleeping in total darkness which our ancestors have been doing since they came down out of the trees and started walking on two legs, and continued until about 150 years ago when electric lighting came into use.

Why using a sleep mask?
The hormone Melatonin regulates the day-night cycle of the human body and controls the recovery phases during the sleep. For the production of this hormone, the human body requires sufficient darkness. Lightness prevents the production of Melatonin. Even a little light caused, for example, by a digital alarm clock can be a disturbance. The best sleeping mask however will naturally help you increase melatonin levels and increase REM sleep.

Sleep masks- what for?
- if your bedroom cannot completely be shaded by black-out curtains and you want to sleep in
- if you cannot fall asleep because your partner wants to read or watch TV
- if you want to sleep while travelling, e.g. on airplanes or in trains
- if you are looking for perfect relaxation during yoga, wellness or meditation
